In order to get the most feedback possible I decided to post my trailer on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Youtube. However I only received feedback from people on facebook and I also received feedback from my teacher.
Proof of me posting my trailer on other websites:
Teacher Feedback: My teacher liked my first draft of my teaser trailer, however her only criticisms was that I needed to make my trailer more fast paced, get rid of the sound to the video clips of Nadi running in slippers as due to her slippers being wet it sounds comical and lastly to change the text in my trailer to something a lot or intriguing and scary.
Overall improvements needed for my trailer:
Taking into consideration all of my feedback, I now know that in order to improve my trailer I need to; mute the clips with Nadi running in slippers, change the text design and what the text says, make my trailer faster, shorten the clip of Bloody Mary staring into the camera, and move where the candle shot is. Other than those constructive criticisms my trailer has received a lot of praise.
Feedback for my Poster:
In order to get the best feedback for improvments I have not only got improvments from my teacher, but I have asked for advise and improvements off of people from facebook.
Facebook Feedback:
Below I have postedthree images I created for the use of my teaser trailer onto facebook and asked people to vote on their favourite and what one they think will suit a horror movie poster the best by liking or commenting on it.
As we can see from below, the coloured version received the
most acknowledgement with one like and one comment, whereas the rest didn't receive
any acknowledgement, which is why I shall be sticking with the image I have
used in my first draft.
Peer Feedback: I printed off a copy of my poster and asked some peers for their feedback and I received the following constructive criticisms; to change the title font, to possibly elongate the poster so its longer in length, to change the release date or websites font colour so it stands out, to get better distribution logos that aren’t so blurry and to rearrange the distribution logos and age certificate.
Overall improvements needed on my poster:
In order to improve my poster I am going to change its layout so the tops not so bare, change the font for the title and small print, make my poster longer, change the font colour of the release date and website URL, change the distribution logos to clearer images and finally rearrange the distribution and age certificate logos.
Feedback for my Website:
Because my website changes every time I make changes on it I was unable to post my website on websites for feedback as it will be forever changing, However I did manage to get some feedback from my teacher on how to improve my website.
Teacher feedback: I've been told to finish the website for a start as I have some little bits that need finishing on the website, apart from that my teacher said to add the trailer onto the homepage, make the cast page look more interesting and to incorporate all my other tasks into my website.
Overall improvements needed for my website:
First of all I need to finish my website, as well as add my trailer to the homepage, make the cast look more interesting (I think I could do this by making it more interactive, by possibly making the cast pictures move with the mouse) and to finally incorporate aspects of my other tasks into my website linking it all together.
