Props:
Plastic Machete-
Although this prop of a 12 inch plastic machete isn't the most realistic looking of all my props, it is still going to be used in the filming of my teaser trailer as the lighting in the scene in which plan on using the weapon will be dark which means the lack of detail wont be as noticeable and the blood stain will look very effective as it will look like my villain has used the machete already. I plan on using this prop towards the ending of my teaser trailer with my villain wielding it at the head one of my character Alison while shes tied up in a chair in the garage.
Fake Blood Capsules-
I bought these blood capsules from a fancy dress shop (the same goes for the machete above) so I could use them as a prop in my teaser trailer to help create a realist effect when my victims are spitting up blood from being stabbed. I will be using these capsules when filming the character Nadi being stabbed outside the house and when the character Alison is being stabbed while being tied up in a chair in the garage.
Trick Fold Down Knife-
Again I bought this fold down knife from a fancy dress shop in order to be able to use it as a prop when filming my victims being stabbed. The fold down knife makes it look more realistic, as if the knife is actually penetrating their skin when in fact it is just folding into it handle. I will be using the knife while filming Nadi being stabbed outside and Alison being stabbed while tied up in the garage.
Fake Blood-
I have some fake blood I bought for Halloween but haven't yet used any so I plan on using it as a prop in my trailer as it is the only thing I can use that looks as close to real blood as I can get. I plan on using the fake blood when both Nadi and Alison get stabbed, when Kate is on the floor dying and when the bloody hand hits the window in the kitchen.
Masking Tape-
The masking Tape will be used when outlining Kate's body while she lays dead on the dinning room floor. I am using masking tape as it will be easy to remove from the floor where as white chalk will have to be scrubbed off the floor.
Yellow Cards-
The yellow cards I will be using as props will have numbers on them and will be used along with the masking tape outline. I am using numbered yellow cards in order to make the scene where Kate is found by the police more realistic to the audience.
Kitchen Knife-
I will be using the kitchen knife when filming Bloody Mary holding the knife as well as when taking photos as the kitchen knife looks more authentic than the fake machete and trick fold down knife. But i will not be using the knife when any other characters are in the shot due to safety reasons.
Costumes:
Bloody White Dress-
The bloody white dress will be the costume for my main character, Bloody Mary. The dress was originally a long skirt but I have adjusted it so it will now be worn as a strapless, white, floaty dress. I have also created blood stains on the dress by flicking fake blood onto the dress as well as dissolving some blood capsules into water and flicking that solution onto the dress as well. It outcome was a sucess and it looks very creepy when on my actor when she has got all the makeup on as well.
Makeup-
I will be using a lot of makeup on my main character, Bloody Mary, in order to make her look dead. I did think about using facepaints but then I decided against them as it wouldn't look as realistic, but instead more fancy dress. I will be using a white powered on her face in order to make her pale and dead, I will then be using a black eye shadow around the eye to make her eyes look dead. This will then be linned with grey, green and brown eye shadow as it makes her skin look like its rotting. I will also be using the black, grey, green and brown shadow on her cheek bones so she looks more dead. lastly I will be using a blue lipstick and black eye liner on her lips to finish off the look.
White Eye Contact Lenses-
The white eye contact lenses are essential for the cotume of bloody mary as they are what makes her costume look scary and effective. They look scary and will help scare my audience when watching my trailer as well as veiwing my website and poster.
